The Medicine Accelerator Joins Ireland’s First Manufacturing Day

On Friday, 3 October, we’re proud to take part in the very first Manufacturing Day Ireland, an initiative led by Ibec to showcase the vital role of manufacturing in Ireland’s economy and inspire the next generation of talent.

At The Medicine Accelerator, our mission is clear: to accelerate the delivery of life-changing medicines to patients worldwide. That mission is only possible because of the strength of our people and the advanced manufacturing technologies we’ve built here in Ireland. By opening our doors on Manufacturing Day, we want to show students, educators, and the community the exciting world of modern manufacturing—and the career opportunities it creates.

Why Manufacturing Day Matters

Ireland is a global leader in manufacturing, with pharmaceutical and biopharma industries driving innovation and growth. Events like Manufacturing Day provide a chance to:

  • Encourage students to explore STEM pathways and see real-world applications of science and engineering.

  • Highlight the sustainable, digital, and high-tech future of Irish manufacturing.

  • Share how companies like The Medicine Accelerator are shaping the medicines of tomorrow.

What Visitors Should Expect

Local students will have the chance to:

  • Tour our facilities and see how cutting-edge science and technology come together in manufacturing.

  • Hear from our team about their own career journeys in STEM.

  • Learn more about the opportunities available in advanced manufacturing and biopharma.

This is more than an open day—it’s a chance to spark curiosity, inspire careers, and connect with the next generation of innovators.
