Speaker
Ana Luiza Pinto Queiroz, PhD
Process Development Engineer & Digitalization Business Lead
Our presenter, Ana Luiza received her degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Sao Joao del-Rei, Brazil. She received her PhD from University College Cork, Ireland, in 2020. Following this, she joined APC as a Process Development Engineer where she worked on a wide range of process development projects across small and large molecules. These combined both wet lab and modeling-driven projects.
Her expertise includes a variety of sophisticated modeling and data analysis techniques. She has extensive knowledge and experience in different software packages and programming languages for applications such as Design of Experiments (DoE), univariate and multivariate statistical analysis, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), discrete element models (DEM), process and unit operation models, chemometrics, and atomistic/molecular simulations. This includes the creation of bespoke software solutions to analyze data and implement control strategies and the creation of web applications where the models are packaged into flexible user interfaces. She has developed models and user interfaces for pharmaceutical companies in Europe, Asia, and the USA.
In 2022, Ana Luiza took on the challenge of building a Digitalization group at APC, in which she is leading a team of PhD engineers working on model-driven process development projects.
